Celebrating William Butke!

Since joining our lab in March 2024, William Butke has been an integral part of our team as a research associate. His curiosity, humor, and unmatched neuroscience knowledge has left a lasting mark on our lab culture. In just two weeks, we will proudly send him off to begin his PhD in Neuroscience at The Ohio State University in Columbus.

At this week’s lab meeting, Will delivered his final presentation—titled “Will B Leaving: Data Blitz.” The talk was a reflection on his scientific journey with us, highlighting both his research accomplishments and the lessons he’s learned from Dr. Seese.

While we’re sad to see Will go, we’re incredibly excited to watch him take this next step. He has made us all proud, and we’re confident he’ll continue to thrive in his doctoral work and beyond.
